Chips are modular programs and devices that let a COMP user shape the Veil. At character creation, choose chips that support your concept and match the attributes you intend to use. The entries below are a starting selection; your Compiler may approve other Common or Uncommon chips from the full repository.
Starting Guidance
- Choose a mix of actions, reactions, and utility abilities so you have options when a plan fails.
- Pay attention to the attribute tags. A chip is most reliable when it matches a stat your character can roll well.
- Rare chips are powerful and are normally reserved for a distribution, contract, or campaign-specific reward.
- Your COMP's capacity still limits how many chips you can equip at once.
Generic Chips
These chips are widely available and can fit almost any starting character.
Ghost and Signal Chips
Useful for characters who survive through misdirection, digital awareness, or careful positioning.
Force and Field Chips
Practical tools for characters who expect trouble to become physical.
Occult and Support Chips
Stranger programs for characters who work with rituals, spirits, or the strength of a group.
